The National Museum of Ireland Topographical files recorded the discovery of a ‘burial [LI031-228----] of extended skeleton in a ringfort known as Kyle in the 1940’s’ (Cahill & Sikora 2011, Vol. 2, 456). Single-storey former gate lodge, built c. 1820. Rendered walls. Square-profile rusticated rendered piers to site with decorative caps and double-leaf cast-iron gate. Rubble stone boundary walls.
