H 1.3m), with external fosse (Wth 4m; D 1.2m) SSE->NW; bank becomes scarp-like NE-SE where there is a sharp fall in natural terrain away from interior (H 5m; Wth 24m). Enclosing element is truncated by public road NW->NE; road, set in a deep cut (D 3.5m; Wth of road 5m) into side of hillock, runs straight on E-W axis. Earthen bank on N side of road, which arcs to respect former line of enclosing element, continues NW->SE along foot of steep fall; this is probably part of surrounding field boundary system. Enclosing element obscured by stone dumps at SE. Interior is level and under pasture. Two-over-two-pane timber sliding sash windows to rear elevation openings. Recent render sill and dressed stone lintel to ground floor of rear elevation having uPVC casement window. Rendered sill to rear elevation of additional block having timber casement window. Rendered sills to recent extension having timber casement and bipartite casement windows. Square-headed door openings throughout, having rubbed red brick voussoirs and tooled limestone plinth blocks to front elevation with rendered reveals, tooled limestone step and double-leaf glazed timber doors surmounted by single-pane overlight. Glazed timber door to rear elevation of additional block. Rendered surrounds and stepped approach to side (west) elevation of recent extension block having glazed timber door. Located within own grounds with rubble stone enclosing walls.
