Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a long rectangular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 194: AP 4/3632). Monument is visible as a long rectangular-shaped cropmark (70m NW-SE; 42m NE-SW) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012. Enclosure described by O'Kelly (1944, 18) as following: A circular earthen platform surrounded by a fosse. Around the S.W., S.E. and N.E. sides. near the edge, there is a hollow concentric with the margin of the platform. This feature is not easily explainable but it probably indicates an effort to dig away the monument. The height over the field is 2' [0.6m] and overall diameter is 192' [58m]. Situated in mashy low-land'. Monument described by Doody (2008, 135) as an 'oval ditched enclosure, c. 50m x 42m, with significant internal bank'; the morphology of this enclosure indicates that it may be Bronze Age in date (ibid.). Ó Danachair (1955, 215-6) recorded the following details about this holy well; 'St Bridget's Well' local name. This well was first noted by O'Kelly, North Munster Antiquarian Journal, 1944, 17. "Dedicated to St Bridget. Devotion to it has ceased but was revived in 1940 on St Bridget's Day. Original ritual is not known. The well is badly kept and is much damaged by cattle". Not on maps. Legend: St Brighid, refused a drink, struck the ground and the well sprang up'. The following folklore was recorded from Hospital National School about St. Bridget’s Well; 'St. Brigids Well is situated to the west of the village of Kilteely. It removed because a child was washed in it. It is famous for curing styes' (The Schools’ Collection, Volume 0514, Page 360; accessible online at www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/4922064/4849135/5011166?ChapterID=4922064) . On low lying wet pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 60m SE of a public road and 420m E of a townland boundary with Rootiagh. Enclosure (LI032-246----) lies 240m to SW. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 163: AP 4/3634) as a roughly rectangular-shaped cropmark within a wider field system. Monument is visible as a rectangular-shaped earthwork (19m E-W; 12m N-S) enclosed by a wide bank (approx. Wth 5-8m) with an external fosse, as clearly seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012. Also also visible on Digital Globe orthoimage 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage 20/09/20. The presence of a wider field system is questionable on the Bruff image and may be land reclamation drainage channels in this field (4.5 acres/1.8ha). There is no obvious field system visible on modern orthoimages, although a possible oval-shaped earthwork and a rectangular-shaped earthwork are visible 15m to NW and 28m to SW, respectively, as seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012.
