On W side of field boundary is D-shaped area (16.5m N-S; 8.4m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.95m; ext. H 0.35m) SSE->N, and by dry-stone field wall (Wth 2m) along E side. No visible surface trace of enclosure beyond field boundary to E. Interior, covered with briars, is accessed through gate in field boundary at NE; it is noticeably lower than level of surrounding terrain (by c. 0.6m). H 0.6m; ext. H 0.85m), best preserved SW->NW, has been much denuded by cattle at ENE. Outer bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.35m) and fosse (D 0.25m) are evident only where there is a fall into site from higher ground SW->N. Loose stones from eroded outer bank litter base of fosse. Boulder at external base of bank at E dumped here during field clearance. Interior, under rough pasture, slopes down gently to E.
