The platform has a height of 1' [0.3m] over the field level and the overall diameter is 204' [62m]. It is in low-lying marshy ground. In the north-west quadrant of the platform is a very well made ring-barrow. This consists of a slight mound around which there is a fosse which is well defined. Monument described in 1942-3 as following; 'This consists of a small rectangular mound which is surrounded by a fosse. The latter is gone on the north and east sides but remains on the other two. The top of the mound slopes off from the west to the east end. The maximum height over the fosse-bottom is 5' [1.5m] and it measures 103' [31m] east-west by 90' [27m]. Situated in low-land' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 239). Well preserved monument clearly visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
