Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope in poorly-drained rolling pasture, immediately N of a small river, with good views to SE, S and W. Roughly circular area (56m E-W; 39.5m N-S) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 4m, H 0.3m), with an external fosse (Wth 1.3m; H 0.3m) evident from W to NE. In the interior a sub-oval area (12m N-S) is defined by a scarped edge (Wth 1.6m; H 0.3m) from SE to N. The morphology of this enclosure indicates that it may be Bronze Age in date (Doody 2008, 129). Situated on a S-facing slope in rolling pasture. the monument consists of a circular area (25m N-S; 24.6m NE-SW) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 5.4m; H 0.5m) with an external fosse (Wth 5.7m) and a counter-scarp bank (int. H 0.2m; Wth 4.5m; ext. H 0.4m). The scarp is most evident from NNW to WSW, the fosse from N to ESE and at SW. The external bank is evident from N to ESE. The interior slopes to SW.
