Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a raised oval-shaped area (dims. 16m NW-SE; 12m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.3m) with external fosse (top Wth 5.9m; base Wth 1.9m; D 0.15m) visible from SE-WSW. E side of monument is irregular in shape and may have been altered in antiquity. Described in 1960 as a; ’low platform 60 feet (18m) in diameter and 3 feet [0.9m] high with faint traces of a bank at its edge. Portion of the eastern half shows signs of disturbance’ (O’Dwyer 1960, 98; Rahard 76). Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. 14m) enclosed by a bank (Wth 10.8m; H 0.35m) from SE to W reduced to a scarp elsewhere with an outer fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 0.15m) only visible from S-SW. Described in 1964 as a; ‘Platform 60 feet (18m) in diameter and 1 foot (0.3m) high. Encircled by a shallow ditch, 2 feet (0.6m) wide’ (O’Dwyer 1960-1964, 98; Rahard 77).
