Gaps in bank NE (Wth 3.2m) and at W (Wth 1.5m). Trace of shallow external fosse (Wth 1.4m; D 0.28m) evident along SW side. Sharp dip at base of bank on SE side adjacent to road may also indicate fosse. Interior used for rough grazing and dips slightly at centre, which is marshy; earth and manure dumped into S half. Trees and bushes on bank and in S third of interior. Modern dwelling built c. 20m to SW. In pasture, at the base of a NE-facing slope. A circular area (10.4m N-S; 10.8m E-W) enclosed by a fosse (D 0.3m; Wth 2.6m base) with an external earthen bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.15m). Both fosse and bank are truncated WNW->N by a field boundary. The outer edge of the bank clipped by a stream N->ENE. The level interior is under pasture. H 1.2m) with external waterlogged fosse (Wth 2.6m; D 0.35m). Gap (Wth 1.6m) in bank at SE. An old field drains open into fosse at ESE and W, and a more recent drain at NE joins fosse with nearby stream. Bank and interior densely overgrown with bushes; only a narrow band around edge of interior is accessible. Square-headed openings to rear and side elevations with tooled limestone sills and replacement uPVC windows. Square-headed opening to front elevation having timber panelled door, red brick surround and sidelights. Square-headed opening to south-west elevation with replacement uPVC door. Rubble stone wall to south of house having segmental-headed arch with double-leaf cast-iron gate. Outbuildings to south-west of house having pitched slate and corrugated-iron roofs, rendered walls, square-headed openings with timber battened door and half-glazed timber panelled door.
