This windmill was built by William Bury to grind wheat for the charter school, which he had established at the gates of Shannongrove in 1735, is an example of a small-scale enterprise for specific consumers. Although now derelict, this former windmill retains much of its original form and is a strong focal point and unusual feature within the surrounding landscape."
