At the base of the N-facing slope of a hillock. A report in 1976 (SMR file) indicates that this slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 32m) was defined by a low bank of earth and stone and an external fosse. It is defined by a scarp (H 0.3-0.55m). The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 November 2011 - LF019-037: Ringfort - rath, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CLF019-037----. On a gentle SSW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as an oval enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The monument, which is largely levelled, is bisected by a modern NNE-SSW roadway. The areas to the WNW and ESE of the road are defined by a low scarp (H 0.35m) with traces of a shallow external depression (Wth 3.2m; D 0.1m), which possibly marks the remains of a fosse. The area enclosed was roughly circular (diam. c. 40.5m). Compiled by: Patrick F. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
