In gently undulating pasture. This partially natural, dome-shaped mound of earth and stone (diam. at base c. 36m) is defined by a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m). The ground level of the interior rises considerably towards the centre. As it is planted with trees it is possible that it is a designed landscape feature. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 18 January 2012 - LF027-012: Ringfort - rath, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CLF027-012----. On a rise in pasture. A report in 1976 noted that this raised subcircular area (c. 34m NNW-SSE; c. 32m ENE-WSW) was enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone and an external fosse. A shallow depression, of unknown significance, was evident immediately inside the bank at SW. It is defined by a steep scarp (H 1-1.5m), which has been incorporated into a field boundary from ESE-S-N. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
