Excavated as part of the Dundalk Western by-pass project (Excavation Licence No. 03E0867). Two probable hut sites and a third possible one were uncovered. The huts were circular shallow hollows (diam. 3m) with associated post/ stake holes and pits. They were originally thought to date to the Neolithic (Delaney 2006, 340), but more detailed analysis dated them as middle to late Bronze Age (Delaney 2009, 39). A single cremation pit (LH004-140----) was discovered c. 20m to W. The excavator suggests that more remains may possibly be outside the road take (Delaney 2009, 47). Excavated as part of the Dundalk Western by-pass project (Excavation Licence No. 03E0867). The remains of one cremated adult female were uncovered in an oval pit (L 0.82m; Wth 0.61m; D 0.31m). The excavator suggested that it was probably associated with the Bronze Age Habitation site (LH004-139----) situated c. 20m to the E. (Delaney 2006, 340), (Delaney 2009, 18). A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
