Square-headed window openings, red brick block-and-start surrounds, tooled stone sills, openings now blocked. Square-headed door opening, metal door. Square-headed opening to east elevation, double metal doors. Detached three-bay two-storey over basement former railway worker's house, dated 1902, now in private domestic use. Gabled breakfronts to north and south, extensions to east. Pitched slate roof, terracotta ridge cresting, unpainted smooth rendered shouldered corbelled chimneystacks, painted carved timber bargeboards and terracotta finials to gables, moulded cast-iron gutters on painted timber fascia to overhanging eaves, square-profile downpipes with decorative lugs. Unpainted roughcast rendered walling, smooth rendered plinth, block-and-start quoins and continuous sill courses. Square-headed and segmental-headed (first floor breakfronts) window openings, concrete sills, smooth rendered soffits and reveals, moulded render surrounds to ground floor, uPVC windows, painted timber two-over-two sliding sash window to north; tripartite window to north breakfront, moulded render surround four-over-four flanked by one-over-one sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening, moulded render surround, painted timber nine-panel door with brass door furniture, plain-glazed overlight. Set back from road, garden to south, bounded by smooth rendered plinth wall with cast-iron railings with spear finials, smooth rendered gate piers, pyramid caps, cast-iron gate; squared roughly coursed stone wall running eastwards to south of house, soldier coping, square-headed door opening giving access to timber buildings once part of railway. - Brookmount, house, 1840–1880, Regional interest, registry number 13707055, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=LH®no=13707055. Painted smooth rendered ruled-and-lined walling, block-and-start render quoins; random coursed stone walling to north-west and south-west elevations. Unpainted smooth rendered ruled-and-lined walling, dressed limestone plinth, block-and-start quoins and first floor sill course; ashlar limestone walling and moulded cornice to canted bay. Square-headed window openings, limestone sills, painted timber horizontally-paned two-over-two and one-over-one sliding sash windows; paired one-over-one sliding sash windows to box bay with painted timber mullions and lintel; uPVC windows to first floor east elevation and north extension. Round-headed door opening to porch with plain limestone frieze, projecting moulded cornice and parapet, round-headed window opening to south elevation, limestone sill, painted timber one-over-one sliding sash window; moulded render surround, painted timber four-panel door, plain-glazed fanlight, approached by concrete ramp; square-headed door opening to west return, painted timber door with glazed panels. Curved aluminium roof, tapering in span towards north, overhanging eaves to east and west, corrugated-aluminium sheeting to soffit. Corrugated-aluminium walls with textured aluminium band to window level and corners. Square-headed window openings, curved corners, aluminium frame fixed-pane and sliding windows.
