Though low the elevation is clearly visible as a high point in the surrounding level terrain. It is intersected by the townland boundary. This possible rath is not indicated on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps. It is evident as a slightly domed oval area (c. 30m E-W; c. 40-45m N-S) with gently sloping, broadly slumped sides (H 1.1.5m; Wth of slope 7-8m). The outline can be clearly traced S−E, but the SE arc is poorly defined. A field wall/townland boundary bisects the interior centrally on a N-S axis, and a perpendicular field wall bisecting the E half. Remnants of a levelled E−W field fence abut the NW arc. There is a local tradition of a 'fort' at this location. It consists of an oval area (29m E-W; 20.5m N-S) defined by a sod-covered bank (Wth 1.4m at NE, 2.6m at S; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.2m at NE, 0.6m at S), truncated at W by a field wall/townland boundary. The bank is best defined at S where there is a more pronounced external slope, but elsewhere it is low and degraded, with stones, including occasional boulders, protruding randomly. It is conjoined at the N with another enclosure (MA015-077002-). An irregular oblong area (c. 12-15m N-S; c. 24m E-W) defined by a low, sod-covered stony bank (Wth c. 1.5m at NE). It is conjoined at S with a larger enclosure (MA015-077001-) and at W it is bordered by a field fence/townland boundary that appears to partly respect the curve of the enclosure. An ephemeral NW-SE rise partitions the slightly raised interior into 2 roughly equal spaces, with the area (c. 15m N–S, c. 12.5m E–W) to W best defined, and the E half disturbed and irregular in appearance. The somewhat irregular shape and poor preservation makes interpretation of this possible enclosure, and its relationship to the adjoining larger enclosure (MA015-077001-), difficult; it could, for instance, represent the remains of a building or structure rather than an enclosure.
