This possible crannog was first noted c. 1960 when a drop in water levels following drainage works revealed ‘a small island which could be waded out to it on a submerged causeway from the shore’, and in 1985 ‘flooring planks laid out and clearly visible’ were noted here, all now concealed by overgrowth (pers. comm. Replacement pitched slate roof originally extending into lean-to slate roofs on timber spandrels on drag edged tooled cut-limestone ogee corbels with clay ridge tiles terminating in red brick Running bond chimney stack having corbelled stepped stringcourse below capping supporting terracotta pot, and uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on slightly overhanging exposed timber rafters. Tuck pointed snecked rock faced limestone walls with rock faced hammered limestone flush quoins to corners. Pair of square-headed central openings between drag edged tooled cut-limestone ogee corbels with reinforced concrete lintels framing concrete block infill. Square-headed flanking window openings with drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and red brick block-and-start surrounds framing six-over-six timber sash windows. Set in unkempt grounds originally shared with Claremorris South Railway Station.

Detached three-bay two-storey house, post-1917, on a symmetrical plan with two-bay two-storey side elevations. Now disused. Hipped fibre-cement slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks on axis with ridge having "Cavetto"-detailed stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered consoles retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered walls on rendered chamfered plinth with rendered "bas-relief" strips to corners supporting indented rendered band to eaves. Round-headed central open internal porch with moulded rendered surround. Square-headed door opening into house with timber mullions framing glazed timber panelled door having sidelights on panelled risers below overlight. Square-headed window openings with concrete sills, and moulded rendered surrounds framing one-over-one timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes. Set back from line of road in unkempt grounds.

Detached three-bay (two-bay deep) two-storey house, extant 1913, on a cruciform plan centred on single-bay single-storey flat-roofed projecting porch to ground floor with single-bay (single-bay deep) two-storey lower central return (north). Reroofed. Replacement hipped slate roof on a T-shaped plan centred on pitched slate roof (north) with clay ridge tiles, paired cement rendered central chimney stacks having corbelled stepped capping supporting terracotta pots, and uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on box eaves retaining some cast-iron octagonal or ogee hoppers and downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls on rendered chamfered plinth with rusticated rendered piers to corners. Paired camber-headed central window openings (ground floor) with concrete sill, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows having horizontal glazing bars. Curvilinear-headed door opening into house with concealed dressings framing glazed timber double doors having sidelights. Camber-headed window openings centred on paired round-headed window openings (first floor) with dragged cut-limestone sills, and concealed dressings with hood moulding over (first floor) framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Interior including (ground floor): central entrance hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled shutters. Set back from street in landscaped grounds with "rock faced" concrete block boundary wall to perimeter centred on "rock faced" concrete block piers supporting wrought iron gate.

Single-arch road bridge over railway line, extant 1894; opened 1895. Part creeper- or ivy-covered tuck pointed snecked rock faced limestone walls between tuck pointed snecked rock faced limestone battered abutment walls with rock faced cut-limestone stringcourses supporting parapets having lichen-covered rock faced cut-limestone coping. Single segmental arch with red brick header bond voussoirs. Sited spanning overgrown railway line with unkempt embankments to railway line.
