This holy well is named ‘Tobercummeen’ on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps. This well is no longer in use and has been blocked up. According to local information, stations were held here in the past, and a sycamore tree, which stood adjacent to the well was used as a rag tree. Located adjacent to a modern farmstead. A mill is shown on the 1656-58 Down Survey Barony at roughly this location on the S bank of a tributary stream of the River Deel; on the 1838 OS 6-inch map an L-shaped building is indicated as a ‘Tuck & Corn Mill’. The mill building does not survive. According to local information, the traditional name for the area is ‘Baile an Muillin’, and ruins of the mill were still to be seen in the early part of the 20th century; it was said to have been used for milling oats. The millstream has been diverted from it original course. A millstone (Diam. 0.76m; T 0.07-0.1m) is located in the farmyard. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 4 September 2019

In pasture, located on a SE-facing slope, giving good views NE–S–SW, with an expanse of lowlying pasture to SE. Sub-circular, raised area (diam. 22-25m) enclosed by a bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m at WSW) of earth and stones, incorporated into the line of a later field fence on the W arc. The enclosure is built up higher on the SE–S to compensate for the natural slope, and along this section the bank tops a scarped sloping, giving an overall external height of c. 2.3m. Remnants of stone facing on the exterior face of the bank may be a late feature. There is an eroded gap (Wth 0.6m) at ENE, but the location of the original entrance is not evident. The interior slopes gently down from NW to SE. The rath is engulfed in clumps of brambles, hawthorn bushes and ash trees. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 4 September 2019
