Situated on a rise in a fairly level landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40) defined by a single positive or fosse feature is visible on oblique aerial photographs (CUCAP: BGH 76; BGH 83). It is also visible on OSI aerial images (2005; 2018), and on Google Earth (14/07/2018; 29/06/2018) where a large N-S quarry trench, perhaps a souterrain, can be seen in the W interior. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Situated on a fairly level landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25-30m) defined by a fosse feature is visible on Google Earth (29/06/2018; 14/07/2018). The fosse is separated by a berm (Wth c. 10-15m) from the cropmarks of two fosse features c. 4-6m apart that were probably on either side of an earthen bank (max. ext. diam. c. 70m). The outer two features are cut at the W edge by the cropmarks of two NNW-SSE field drains c. 5m apart. These drains are both depicted on the 1836 edition of the OS 6-inch map and the field bank is marked on the1912 edition. It was first reported by Jean Charles Caillere. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner.
