Situated at the tip of a NW-SE spur. It is depicted as a rectangular enclosure described as ‘Lisnaclogh’ – Stone Lios - on the 1836 and 1908 editions of the OS 6-inch map. It was removed c. 1964 and is described locally as having deep ditches. The outline of a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 63m NE-SW; 56m NW-SE) defined by field banks at NW and SW and light (at SE: Wth 5.1m) and outer lush (at SE: Wth 2m) grass-growth on the line of the straight banks and outer fosses at NE and SE were visible in 1968. Located on a slight NW-SE ridge which is on a S-facing slope with a canalised NW-SE stream immediately to the NE. It is described as ‘Cloghmacoo Fort’ on the OS 6-inch maps. This is a raised circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 37.5m NNE-SSW; 35m WNW-ESE) defined by a grass and scrub-covered earthen bank (Wth of base 6-9m; int. H 0.5-1.2m; ext. H 3-3.2m) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 8-9.5m; Wth of base 1.3-2m; ext. D 0.4m at E to 1.3m at W), and a slight outer bank (Wth of base 4.6m; ext. H 0.4m) E-SSE. The original entrance (Wth of base 1.9m) and causeway (Wth of top 2.7m; H 0.8m) are at SSE. Situated on top of a prominent hillock. A grass-covered oval enclosure (dims c. 45m E-W; c. 33m N-S) that is probably defined by a fosse (Wth c. 3-6m) SW-N-SE is visible on Google Earth (16/03/2021). It is traversed by a relict NE-SW field bank that is depicted on the 1908 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The enclosure is also visible on an OSI image (2005-12), Digital Globe (2011-13) and Aerial Premium (2013-18) images as well as other Google Earth images.
