Situated on a knoll on a S-facing slope of Teevurcher Hill. This is an oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims 23m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1m) NW-ENE and SSE-WSW (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.5m) and a scarp (at W: Wth 6m; H 3.6m) that melds into the natural slope elsewhere. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance ramp (Wth of base 2m) is at ENE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). Located towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope. An oval grass-covered area (dims c. 70m NW-SE; c. 60m NE-SW) defined by a wide fosse (Wth c. 5-10m) is visible on Google Earth (17/01/2020). The field is overlain by N-S cultivation ridges and served as a pitch and put course (Google Earth 18/04/2009). Situated on a gentle S-facing slope. Archaeological monitoring (17E0038) by J. Olney of the development works associated with a windfarm extending over a wide area (max. dims c. 1.3km NE-SW; c. 1km NW-SE) identified three archaeological areas which were all resolved under the original licence. This is a small pit (dims 1.02m E-W 0.79m N-S; D 0.24m) with three fills. It produced 56 flints, largely flakes, but there was also a bipolar flake, three convex end-scrapers, two bipolar cores, two platform blades and an edge-retouched blade. A second pit (dims 1.25m E-W; 0.56m N-S; D 0.34m) with three fills of brown silty clay was 5.5m to the E but it was truncated and no artefacts were recovered from it. Situated on a gentle S-facing slope. Archaeological monitoring (17E0038) by J. Olney of the development works associated with a windfarm extending over a wide area (max. dims c. 1.3km NE-SW; c. 1km NW-SE) identified three archaeological areas which were all resolved under the original licence. An oval hearth (dims 1.8m E-W; 0.82m E-W; D 0.16m) with a stone base was filled with a pebbly black silt with frequent charcoal inclusions. It produced 18 flint flakes and a platform blade as well as sherds of a Grooved ware vessel. Just to the E was a pit (dims 1.96m E-W; 1.08m N-S; D 0.2m) filled with a grey black silt and heat-shattered stones from which 16 flints were recovered. The flints were largely flakes and five of them were retouched. Shreds of at least two Grooved ware pots were also recovered from the pit as well as sherds from the vessel that was largely in the hearth. A piece of hazel charcoal from the hearth produced a C14 date of 2760-2560 cal. BC. A second pit (ME001-013001-) is c. 30m to the N (Olney and Bartlett 2020, 14-16)
