- MO014-026: Crannog, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CMO014-026----. Situated close to the NW shore of a small subrectangular lake (max. dims c. 230m NE-SW; c. 110-160m NW-SE) that was unnamed and has now dried up completely. It is depicted as a small island (diam. c. 5m) only on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map. A circular overgrown cairn (diam. 15m; H 0.3m) rises from the bog. No structural features are visible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). - Clontibret Orange Hall, 1900–1905, Regional interest, registry number 41401417, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=MO&regno=41401417. Detached three-bay two-storey Orange Hall, dated 1901, having gablet over middle of first floor. Now in use as community centre. Pitched natural slate roof, having red brick chimneystacks to gable ends, cement verges, crested terracotta ridge tiles, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Decorative timber bargeboard to gablet. Smooth rendered walls with smooth plinth course, with date plaque to front elevation. Square-headed window openings, with stone sills to east elevation, and paired round-headed window openings under gablet, all windows boarded up. Square-headed boarded-up door opening to front elevation. Outlines of window and door openings to west elevation, now all blocked up. Rubble limestone boundary wall to east of site with square-plan gate piers and limestone coping. Tarmac car park to north.
- House, 1790–1810, Regional interest, registry number 41401419, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=MO&regno=41401419. Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1800, having shallow windbreak to front elevation, and gabled return and flat-roofed extension to return, latter continuing beyond gable and in use as post office. Hipped replacement slate roof, having symmetrically-placed red brick chimneystacks, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods. Painted roughcast rendered walls, with rusticated quoins to east elevation. Square-headed window openings throughout, having two-over-two timber sliding sash windows to front, north and part of rear elevations, and replacement timber and uPVC casement windows to rear and to return and extension. Square-headed main doorway, with replacement uPVC door. Low rendered sandstone and limestone rubble boundary wall terminating in round-plan rendered gate piers with square-plan pointed stone caps and wrought-iron single-leaf pedestrian gate. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate accessing rear to north. Ancillary twentieth-century farm buildings to rear. Located adjacent to former Dublin to Derry road.
