H 1.4-2.1m) with some bushes and trees separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 5.3-6m; ext. D 0.6-1.4m) from an outer bank (Wth of base 4.6-5m; ext. H 0.6-1.1m) that has an outer stone facing. Located in Bocks Lough, a subrectangular lake (max. dims 560m NNW-SSE; c. 340-490m ENE-WSW), now much reduced in size. It is represented as an island only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map and is now incorporated into the marshy NE shore of the lake. The crannog is a circular overgrown cairn (diam. 18m; H 0.8m) but no structural features are evident. Located at the S end of a short N-S drumlin ridge. This is an oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims 56.5m NW-SE; 46m NE-SW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at E: Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 2.5m) separated by a fosse (at E: Wth of top 4m; ext. D 0.6m) from an outer earthen bank (at E: Wth 3.9m; ext. H 1.3m) E-SW that is incorporated into a field bank elsewhere. The banks are best preserved at NW and SE where they cross the ridge. The entrance through the inner bank (Wth of base 1.7m) and causeway (Wth of top 4.9m; H 0.9m) are at SE, but the entrance through the outer bank is blocked. There is a sunken area (L 9.9m; Wth 3.6m; max. D 0.85m)inside the perimeter at NW with a spur (L 6.8m; Wth 4.3m) at one end that is probably a collapsed souterrain.
