- Inishkeen Railway Station, railway station, 1845–1850, Regional interest, registry number 41309006, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=MO&regno=41309006. Detached seven-bay single-storey former railway station, built 1849, now in use as house, having later dormer attic. Former stationmaster's house to rear (north-east) elevation, and recent conservatory extension to north-west elevation. Timber canopy supported on cast-iron columns with decorative brackets to front, former track-side (south-west) elevation. Columns removed from adjacent island platform to provide additional support to canopy. Hipped slate roofs with red brick chimneystacks, terracotta ridge tiles and later dormer windows. Pitched double-pile slate roof to stationmaster's house. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls having render quoins and plinth courses. Square-headed window openings with render architraves, tooled masonry sills and replacement two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Replacement uPVC windows to rear openings. Square-headed door opening to front elevation having render architrave, timber panelled door, overlight and masonry step. Platform with coursed rubble stone retaining walls, cut-stone coping and concrete surface. Island platform to front of station, concrete surface having cut-stone coping and coursed rubble stone retaining walls.

Square-headed window openings with patent reveals and painted sills, having replacement uPVC windows throughout. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door with overlight. House set in own grounds, with rendered boundary wall with single gate pier. Set between River Fane, on opposite side of road and mill race to rear.

Recent temporary flat timber roof with corrugated-metal sheeting. Red brick header course at eaves level to front and rear elevations. Pitched slate roof with decorative timber bargeboards to entrance porch. Rubble stone walls with partial remains of roughcast lime render. Square-headed window openings with stone sills. Windows boarded, some remains of timber sliding sash windows evident. Patent reveals to front windows. House attached to watermill at its east end with associated mill buildings forming yard, between River Fane to south and millrace to north. Bridge at site entrance, having rendered parapet walls.

Attached two and three-storey T-plan watermill, built c.1830 and extended c.1870, as part of Inishkeen corn and flax mill complex, now derelict. Standing on north bank of River Fane and having two-storey miller's house adjoining west wing at west. Projecting south wing has five-bay three-storey rectangular range with pitched slate roof having timber square vent at ridge, some cast-iron guttering remains at east. Projecting corrugated-iron canopy at first floor level west elevation, corrugated-iron pitched roof silo attached at east. West wing comprising eight-bay two-storey structure having timber and corrugated-metal roof. East-wing comprising eight-bay two-storey range with corrugated-iron roof to west, remainder of roof is slate, hipped at west, but largely collapsed. All three sections constructed of limestone rubble with red brick surrounds to openings, stone sills and large cast-iron wall tie-plates. West wing has square-headed window openings to first floor and segmental-arch door openings to east end of ground floor. Square-headed entrance to west end, double-width square-headed door and adjoining window opening having stop and start lined-and-ruled render architrave located centrally. All openings boarded up. Segmental-arch door and window openings to south wing at ground floor level of west elevation. Second floor windows more regular, matching watermill on south side of courtyard, with square-headed arch recessed within segmental arch. Gable has central two-storey opening flanked by two window openings, all with segmental arches. Window to ground floor of east elevation retains timber-frame six-pane window. East wing has segmental-arch window openings to ground floor and square-headed openings to first floor. Brick sills to western bays. Segmental-headed pitching door openings at ground floor level, first floor and second floor level. Series of corrugated-iron outbuildings to rear of south and east wings. Millrace runs to north of building. Mill complex located east of Inishkeen village and associated buildings form courtyard between River Fane and millrace. Mill located at end of short road off main road and accessed via two small bridges.

First floor window openings having timber fittings, vertical timber board shutters to second floor window openings. First and second floor window openings to east gable infilled with masonry. Ventilation gaps six bricks high to ground floor south elevation. Exposed timber beams to ground floor ceiling to interior, with single cross span metal beam beneath. Probable earlier single-storey lean-to structure indicated by traces on the west gable, and to east end of north elevation. Mill complex located east of Inishkeen village, associated buildings, including miller’s house, second mill and stores, forming courtyard between River Fane to south and millrace to north. Mill is located at end of short road off main road and accessed via two small bridges.
