This is a raised oval or subrectangular grass-covered area (dims 48m NW-SE; 39m NE-SW) defined by a steep artificial scarp SSE-WNW (Wth 6m; H 2.6m), and N-ESE (Wth 1.5m; H 2.2m) with a modern drain at its base. There is an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m) and hedge or modern field bank WNW-N and across the ridge (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) ESE-SSE. There is no visible fosse, but a gap (Wth of base 2m) in the perimeter at NW is probably not original. The ringfort (MO031-014----) is c. 220m to the NW and rath (MO031-016----) is c. 200m to the SE. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 43m NW-SE) with some rock outcrop at the surface defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth 4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.1m) and hedge NW-N-S and an artificial scarp (at W: Wth 2.3m; H 1.3m) elsewhere, with an external bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m) close to its base SW-W. The original entrance is not identified. A relict NW-SE field bank runs through the interior NE of the centre. The Rath (MO031-015----) is c. 200m to the NW and ringfort (MO031-017----) is c. 120m to the SE. It is depicted as a circular embanked enclosure described as a ‘fort’ in gothic lettering on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a hachured D-shaped feature surviving SW of a NW-SE field bank on the 1907 edition. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 32m NW-SE; 12m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at SW: Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7m) with some scrub S-NW. There is no visible fosse and the remainder of the perimeter cannot be traced NE of the NW-SE field bank. Rath (MO031-016----) is c. 120m to the NW.
