Situated at the crest of the E-facing slope of a drumlin. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 47.5m NE-SW; 29.5m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth of base 5.3m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.85m) NE-SE and WSW-NW with a hedge and an outer fosse (at SE: Wth of base 1.8; ext. D 1.1m). The original entrance is not identified. Located at the SE end of a low NW-SE ridge. It is depicted as a large embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 65,) described as a ‘fort’ in gothic lettering on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a large D-shaped hachured feature (dims c. 65m E-W; c. 65m N-S) with straight sides at W and S, which is described as ‘Lissadoon’ in gothic lettering on the 1907 edition. This is a large D-shaped field defined by field banks and hedges. There is a straight internal scarp (Wth c. 9m; H c. 2.5m), probably old quarrying, inside the perimeter at S. Single-arch railway bridge, built c.1860, carrying road over Portadown and Cavan Branch of Ulster Railway. Segmental arch having rock-faced rusticated and margined sandstone voussoirs, cut sandstone soffits. Tapered projecting buttresses flanking arch. Abutments terminating in projecting piers. Snecked, coursed, rock-faced rusticated sandstone to spandrel walls, parapet walls, abutments and buttresses. Dressed limestone impost course and parapet copings. Line infilled underneath bridge, west elevation inaccessible.
