Located on the broad summit of a drumlin. It is depicted as an embanked circular feature (ext. diam. c. 35-40m) on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’ and as a hachured feature on the 1907 edition. This was described in 1967 as a grass-covered raised area defined by a slight scarp, with a fragment of the perimeter surviving in a scarp (H 1.6m) under a field bank at N. This had been removed by 1995 (OSAP) but the rise is still evident. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
