There is an entrance (Wth 2.6m) at SE and the interior is overlain by grass-covered field walls and grass-covered spoil mounds. Cashel (RO045-063----) is c. 120m to the WSW and cashel (RO045-066----) is c. 30m to the S. Oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims 31.7m NW-SE; c. 25m NE-SW) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth c. 3.3m; H 0.8m-1m) NW-N and SE-SW, with numerous clearance cairns within and without. It may be a small field. Cashel (RO045-063----) is c. 120m to the W, enclosure (RO045-064----) is c. 130m to the SW, and cashel (RO045-065----) is c. 30m to the N. On the crest of a slight NW-SE spur. Circular overgrown area (diam. c. 36m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.5-5.2m; int. H 0.45-0.65m; ext. H 1.1-1.9m), which is incorporated into a field bank with stone facing SE-WSW. There is an intermittently visible fosse (at N: Wth of top 6.6m; Wth of base 2.5m; D 1.8m) and traces of an outer bank (at N: Wth 5m; ext. H 0.2m). There is no identifiable original entrance, but the perimeter is quarried N-NNE and at SE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 79.8m N-S; 79.1m E-W) defined by a grass and scrub-covered bank (at ESE: Wth 4.7m; H 0.2-0.5m) ENE-SSE surviving E of a N-S field wall. Elsewhere the perimeter is defined by a scarp (H 0.2-0.5m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Kilcommon church (RO045-116001-) is immediately to the S. Listed as Kilcimacan in the ecclesiastical taxation of Elphin in 1306 (Cal. doc. Ire. vol. 5, 224) and situated on the crest at the S end of a low NW-SE spur. The church is a rectangular structure (ext. dims 10.85m E-W; 6.3m N-S) whose W wall, with the doorway and N wall hardly survive. There are 12th-century round-headed windows in the E wall and towards the E end of the S wall. A tomb inside the church which is blocking the E window re-uses a graveslab (RO045-116003-) (L 2m; Wth 1.05; T 0.15m) of Patricia (?) and Column Kelly of Creggan with a Latin inscription and a date of 1685. The slab is incised with a simple cross which has a calvary and fleur-de-lis terminals. The church is within a diamond-shaped graveyard (RO045-116002-) (dims c. 70m E-W; c. 35m N-S) defined by a masonry wall. Enclsoure (RO045-115----) is immediately to the N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, and the monument is surrounded by a field wall which is revetting the scarp SW-NNW.
