Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 42.7m NNE-SSW; c. 35m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earth and stone bank (Wth of base 4-4.5m; Wth of top 1.2-1.4m; int. H 0.8-0.9m; ext. H 1-1.2m) with some bushes, and an outer fosse (at NNE: Wth of top 4.5m; Wth of base 1.5m; max. D 0.5m) which survive S-W-NE. There are traces of an outer bank (at NNE: Wth 2.4m; ext. H 0.2m) NNW-NE, which might not be original, and the inner bank may have been overlain by a stone wall at N. The original entrance is not identified. Subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 42.3m NW-SE; 38.7m NE-SW) defined by a stone spread (Wth c. 7m; H 0.5-0.9m) obscured by field stones and with some bushes. There is a record of a stone-lined entrance (Wth 2m) at N (Gannon 1972) but it cannot be detected now. A N-S fieldwall overlies the W part of the monument, and souterrain (RO048-027002-) is inside the perimeter at SW. The interior was used as a Childrens' Burial Ground (RO048-027003-).
