Roscommon and will consist of: I. Solar PV panels laid out in arrays across the Site of ca. 110ha on ground-mounted frames; II. 48 BESS units; III. 15 transformer units; IV. One 38kV substation building (13.7m x 7.3m); V. Underground electrical and communications cabling within private lands and minor local road; VI. Polemounted security cameras; VII. Perimeter security fencing (2m high) and security gates; VIII. Three new entrances and upgrade works of one existing entrance; IX. Two primary temporary construction compounds and three satellite temporary construction compounds; X. 16 new drainage ditch crossings and one upgraded culvert; XI. Internal access tracks between the solar arrays and the site entrances ; and, XII. All associated ancillary site development, landscaping and reinstatement works. The 38kV underground cabling will be located on a site that is ca. 6ha and will traverse the townlands of Monksland, Bellanamullia, Cloonakille, Rooskagh, Curraghaleen, Cloonrollagh, Ardnanure, Newtown and Cuilmore, Co. Ca. 9.56km of underground 38kV cable, three power cables and one fibre communications, beneath private and public roads (L76371, L76374, L76394, L2047, L2026, L7577, L75771 and R362); II. 12 Joint Bays; III. In a low-lying landscape. Subcircular, slightly domed grass-covered area (int. dims 29m WNW-ESE; 26m NNE-SSW) defined by an eroded earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.25-0.6m; ext H 0.55-1.05m) with some bushes which has evidence of internal and external facing-stones (original Wth 1.3-1.7m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there are field stones on the perimeter ENE-ESE. Rath (RO051-107----) is c. 220m to the SSE. On a rise in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 43.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.7m) separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 3.4m; Wth of base 1.9m; D 0.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.1m) SW-NW, and by a scarp (H 0.3m) and traces of a fosse (Wth 1.5-2m) elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance. The monument is overlain by a NNW-SSE field wall W of the centre, and the banks and fosse only survive W of this feature. Cashel (RO051-039----) is c. 220m to the NNW.
