Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.6m N-S; 24.7m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.8-4.9m; int. H 0.3-1.2m; ext. H 1.1-1.5m) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 3.4-5m; Wth of base 0.8-1.7m; D 0.2-0.3m) NW-E-SW, but a N-S drain has destroyed the perimeter elsewhere. There are entrances at NNE (Wth 1.6m) and S (Wth 1.8m). Earthwork (RO042-104----) is c. 115m to the SSE, and the castle (RO042-102001-) is c. 105m to the NW. On the SW-facing slope of a hill. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 48.4m NE-SW; 42m NW-SE) defined by a scrub-covered earthen bank (Wth 5.4-6.6m; int. H 0.6-0.8m; ext. H 1.1-2.4m) which is incorporated into a field bank with external stone facing NW-ENE, and an outer flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 4.2-5.7m; Wth of base 1.2-1.8m; ext. D 0.6m-1.1m) which is partly backfilled. There is an entrance (Wth 2.5m) at SSW. Rath (RO9042-109----) is c. 105m to the ENE and there is an active quarry immediately to the N. At the crest of a NW-SE ridge. Subcircular grass-covered but poached area (dims 34.4m NE-SW; 28.4m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (at SW: Wth 5.6m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.35m) which is incorporated into a field bank with outer facing stone N-ESE, and an outer rounded fosse (at SW: Wth of top 5.2m; Wth of base 1.5m; ext. D 0.35m) SE-WNW. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at ESE. Rath (RO042-108----) is c. 105m to the WSW.
