At the crest of the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims c. 50m E-W; c. 40m N-S) defined by an arc (C 50m) of an overgrown earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 3m) NW-E with gaps at N (Wth 0.8m) and NE (Wth 5m). There is no visible fosse and the perimeter is truncated by NNE-SSW field walls at E and W and by an E-W field bank at S. Inside the bank of rath (RO008C028001-) at N. A creep (Wth 0.5-0.8m; H 0.85m; L 0.9m) enters the W end of the S side of an E-W corbelled and lintelled passage (dims 4.8m E-W; 1.25m N-S; H 1.3m). Another creep (Wth 0.8m; H 0.5m; L 0.8m) at the E end of the N wall leads to a circular and corbelled beehive chamber (diam. 2.9m N-S; 2.8m E-W; H 1.1m) with a large closing lintel (dims 2m x 1.9m) which underlies the bank of the rath. H 1.8m) NW-E and a scarp (H 0.7m) elsewhere, with traces of a fosse (Wth of top 9.6m; Wth of base 2.4m; int. D 0.6m; ext. D 0.1m) SW-WSW. H 1.4-1.5m), which has been truncated at E (Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8m) by a N-S field bank outside it and reduced to a scarp (H c. 0.8m) W-N. There is no visible fosse or entrance.
