H 0.35-0.7m) SW-N-NE, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.3m; D 0.3m) SW-WNW. A NNE-SSW field wall and townland boundary with Scardaun truncates the monument at E, and no feature is visible to E of this boundary. Towards the bottom of the W-facing slope of a hill. The limestone shaft of a cross (dims 0.2m x 0.18m; H 1.74m) with chamfered edges and a slightly expanded head (H 0.42m). One end has a mortise. The head bears an inscription commemorating Con and Maire Kelly, dated 1638 (OS Name Books), 1688 (King 1985), or 1653 (Siggins 1986b, 34). Towards the top of the S-facing slope of A hill. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 42m WNW-ESE; 35.3m NNE-SSW) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 2.7-5m; int. H 0.1-0.75m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5.8m; Wth of base 1m; D 0.35m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.5m; ext. H 0.35m), both of which only survive ENE-SSE. The inner bank is incorporated into a field bank WSW-NW, and the monument is truncated at N by a WNW-ESE field bank. The entrance (Wth 1.9m) defined by limestone boulders and the causeway (Wth 2m) are at SE. Rath (RO041-055003-) is c. 80m to the ENE, and rath (RO041-055002-) is c. 80m to the E. H 1.8-2m), and a fosse (Wth of top 8m; Wth of base 1.2m; ext. D 1.2m at NE) with a field bank on its outer lip W-N-SE. There is no identifiable original entrance, and this monument cuts rath (RO041-055002-), which is immediately to the SW. Towards the top of a SE-facing slope of a hill. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 41m NE-SW; 39.7m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.2-0.65m; ext. H 1.15-1.3m) S-NW, with a fosse (Wth of top 5.3m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.7m) W-NW. There is no identifiable original entrance, but traces of the perimeter (Wth 2.7m; ext. H 1.15m) survive at SE, beyond the field bank. There is a record of a house site (RO041-055004-) (dims 11m E-W; 4m N-S) in the interior (Gannon 1972), which is no longer visible. The monument was cut by the bank of rath (RO041-055001-) N-E, and a NE-SW field bank has destroyed the perimeter E-S. Rath (RO041-055003-) is immediately to the S, and rath (RO041-054----) is c. 80m to the WSW. It is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP: APH 18) where it appears to be cut by the perimeter of rath (RO041-055002-), which is immediately to its NE. It is not visible now at ground level in pasture, and rath (RO041-054----) is c. 80m to the W. H 0.8-1.95m), with a fosse (Wth of top 4.6m; Wth of base 2.4m; D 1m) NW-NE and S-SSW. The fosse is destroyed by quarrying NE-S and backfilled SSW-NW. The bank is quarried N-NNE where an entrance (Wth 2.5m) and causeway are recorded (Gannon 1972).
