On a level landscape. Circular grass-covered but poached area (diam. 43.9m N-S; 42.7m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 3.1-5m; int. H 0.4-0.5m; ext. H 0.75-1.6m) ESE-S-NNW which is incorporated into a field bank (Wth 2.1m; int. H 1.85m; ext. H 1.4m) NE-ESE, although the perimeter is truncated by a WNW-ESE field bank at N. There are traces of a fosse (Wth of top 4.2m; Wth of base 1.2m; D 0.1m) SE-WSW, and there are entrances at WNW (Wth 2m) and S (Wth 2m), the latter probably being original. Towards the bottom of a gentle W-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 44.5m E-W; c. 44m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3-5.1m; int. H 0.25-0.7m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m), which has been quarried away NW-N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The rath is at the S end of an enclosure (RO041-082002-) (dims c. 150m N-S; c. 130m E-W) defined by a fosse or track feature that is visible on the OSI aerial images (2000), but this is a modern feature. At the crest of a W-facing slope. Described in 1998 as a subcircular area (dims 30-38m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4m; H 0.3-0.6m) (SMR file) with no evidence of a fosse or entrance. It is now visible as an uneven grassy, slightly sunken area defined by a low scarp (H 0.2-0.5m) SE-W and a slight scarp down to the interior elsewhere.
