Marked as an 'Exceedingly crooked wall' on an undated Longfield map in NLI (ms. 21.f.43 (5)). A drystone-built limestone wall, partly collapsed and moss-covered, but there is no reason to think it an antiquity, especially as the Longfield map, although undated, is unlikely to be any earlier than late eighteenth century. Visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 472-3) and situated on an undulating landscape. D-shaped grass-covered area (int. dims 22m N-S; 18.5m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.7m) but truncated at E by a N-S field wall of field system (RO047-035002-). The enclosure is divided by two NNE-SSW old field walls with two cross-walls creating small paddocks. The original entrance is not identified. Visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 472-3) and situated on an undulating landscape. A grass-covered area of about 14 acres (c. 6 ha) containing relict earth and stone field boundaries which create irregularly rectangular fields (dims c. 50m x 50-100m). One field wall has truncated cashel (RO047-035001-) and the field walls are likely to post-date this monument, but there is no evidence of settlement sites or lazy-bed cultivation associated with the fields. Visible as a circular stone-walled enclosure (diam. c. 35m) divided into three by field walls of the modern field system on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 472-3), and situated on an undulating landscape. The land has been reclaimed although the dividing field walls are still in place, but the enclosure is not visible now at ground level in pasture. It is probably a cashel. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
