Subrectangular or D-shaped grass and scrub-covered but poached area (dims 21.5m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by an overgrown but curving earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.9m) and outer field drain SE-SW, and a straight scarp (H 0.5m) at N. The straight sides at E and W are provided by field banks and drains. H 1.2-1.5m) separated by a complete fosse (Wth of top 5-7.6m; Wth of base 3.2-4m; D 0.4m at E to 1.1m at W) from an outer bank (Wth 2.2-2.7m; ext. H 0.1m) S-NNW. The inner bank is reduced to a scarp (H 0.3m) and the fosse back-filled N-NE. There is no visible entrance. See the attached aerial view taken from the S.
