On a slight SW-facing slope at the SW end of a slight NE-SW drumlin with Kilglass Lough c. 400m to the E and Grange Lough c. 200m to the W. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 58m N-S; 57.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-3.7m; int. H 0.5-1.3m; ext. H 1-1.6m) and hedge wtih an outer fosse (Wth of top 2.6-4.4m; Wth of base 1.3-2.2m; D 0.2-0.6m). There is a modernised entrance (Wth 2.7m) at SSW. H 0.7m at N to 1-1.2m generally) and outer fosse (Wth of top 3.3-5.7m; Wth of base 0.8-2.8m; D 0.3-0.5m), which has been filled in NW-NE. There is no identifiable original entrance. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.3m N-S; 31.8m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) with traces of external facing-stones at N, which has been reduced to a scarp (H 1.1-2m) NE-SSW, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 2.5-3.5m; Wth of base 1.5-2m; D 0.2-0.5m). There is no identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO023-039----) is c. 170m to the WNW and rath (RO023-040----) is c. 140m to the SW. H 0.8-1m generally to 1.8m at S) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.6-5.6m; Wth of base 2-3m; D 0.4-1m) which has been extended into a pond at N. There is no identifiable original entrance.
