Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 37.2m N-S; 36.4m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.9-1.4m), with a hedge on the perimeter NNE-ESE, and a slight rounded fosse (Wth of top 4.3-5m; Wth of base 1.8-5.5m; D 0.05-0.1m) SW-NNE. Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as an arc of field bank on the 1914 ed. Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. An arc (C 25.6m) of an overgrown earthen bank (at S: Wth 4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.9m) survives SE-W-NNW. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. On a slight W-facing slope. Rectangular grass-covered platform (dims 42.2m E-W; 41.5m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank at N (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.2m) and complete flat-bottomed overgrown fosses or moats (Wth of base 2.8-3.2m; D 0.4-1m). Situated on a gentle S-facing slope, and described as a length of an earth and stone bank and fosse (Gannon 1972). It is not visible at ground level in pasture.
