On top of a slight E-W ridge. Circular round-topped and overgrown cairn (diam. 6m; H 0.6-1m) of rounded limestone fragments. According to J. O'Donovan writing c. 1837 (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 126) it was part of the rounds of Toberscor well (RO016-047----), c. 180m to the S, and it had a stone with a hollow, perhaps a bullaun stone (RO016-046002-), said to have been formed by St Patrick's knee, which cannot now be identified. Situated on a S-facing slope. A spring well is now enclosed and no longer venerated, but a penetential cairn (RO016-046001-) and possible bullaun stone (RO016-046002-) associated with the pattern are c. 180m to the N. At the bottom of a S-facing slope with an E-W stream curving around the perimeter immediatly o the S. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.7m E-W; 31.7m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.05-1.35m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. On a low rise in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 40.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m at S to 4.8m at N; int. H 0.2m at NE to 0.75m generally; ext. H 1.25m at S to 1.95m at N) NNW-E-WSW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere, and a fosse (Wth of base 3.5m; D 0.5m) at SW, its line represented by a band of lush vegetation W-NE. The entrance is not identified, and a pond has been dug in the fosse at W. Rath (RO016-045----) is c. 90m to the N.
