On a gentle S-facing slope. Subcircular overgrown area (dims 55m NNE-SSW; 47.7m WNW-ESE) defined by an overgrown stone spread (at S: Wth 5.5m; int. H 1.7m; ext. H 1.2m) with external facing-stones intermittently visible, especially NNE-SE. There is no identifiable original entrance, but the perimeter is overlain by a field wall NW-E-SE and there are some clearance cairns in the interior. Rath (RO048-187----) is c. 180m to the NE, cashel (RO048-131----) is c. 60m to the ESE, and ringfort (RO048-129----) is c. 180m to the WNW. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (int. dims. c. 29m NNW-SSE; 27.7m ENE-WSW) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2.5-5.5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.2-1.3m) with intermittently visible facing stones. There is no visible entrance but a relict field wall traverses the interior diagonally NE-SW. The perimeter is incorporated into a field wall NNW-NE and obscured by field stones S-WSW. Cashel (RO048-130----) is c. 60m to the WNW and rath (RO048-187----) is c. 180m to the NNE. There is an entrance (Wth 1.5m), possibly modern, at ENE. Situated on an undulating landscape. This is a D-shaped overgrown area (dims 26.6m NNE-SSW; c. 20m WNW-SSE) defined by a scarp (H 1.35m) S-SW and an earth and stone spread (Wth 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.5m) with facing-stones (original Wth 1.5m) SW-NNE. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The monument is bisected by a N-S field wall and townland boundary, and does not survive E of this in Carrowkeeran. An E-W field wall overlies the interior in Tawnagh with the perimeter surviving best S of this. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The monument is bisected by a NW-SE field bank and does not survive above ground SW of this feature. H 0.05-0.3m) SSW-N-ENE with some evidence of facing-stones and a few bushes. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there are old quarry pits and upcast in the interior. Cashels (RO048-130----; RO048-131----) are c. 180m to the SW and SSW respectively. Circular grass-covered mound which has been distorted by quarrying (diam. of base c. 5m; H 0.2-0.4m) separated by a berm or fosse (Wth 0.7-1.4m) from an outer earthen bank (Wth 5.9-6.2m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 0.6-0.7m). The monument slopes down to the SW (max. ext. diam.18.7m NNE-SSW) and a trig. station is built on the outer bank at NE.
