Situated on level summit of broad N-S orientated ridge with the steep natural E-facing slope of the ridge immediately to the E of the site. Raised circular area (diam. 19m) enclosed by a bank of rubble limestone (Wth 7.9m; int. H 0.4m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The external face of the bank has been rebuilt SSE-SSW as part of an E-W orientated drystone field wall. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank and a slight ramp at SSW marks the position of the original entrance. Located on the NE side of the interior of Ballynamona cashel (SL015-066001-), 2m within the internal base of the bank Roughly rectangular U-shaped depression (dims. 4m N-S; Wth Top 1.4m E-W; Wth Base 0.8m E-W; D 0.3m) defined by an earth and stone scarp. Situated on NE-facing upper slope of a N-S orientated ridge, in gently undulating rocky pasture. Slightly raised oval area (dims. c.28m N-S; c.32m E-W) enclosed by a bank of rubble limestone (Wth 6.3m; int. H 0.5m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. Modern E-W orientated drystone field walls (av. dims. H 0.6m; T 0.4m) have been built on top of the bank NW-NE and SE-SW. The original entrance is not recognisable. Situated near NW end of level summit of a NW-SE orientated ridge in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 28m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.65m; int. H 0.5m). At the external foot of the bank is a fosse (Wth 3.5m) and an external bank (Wth 2.95m; int. H 0.7m). From ESE-SW the internal bank and the fosse are almost entirely absent. The external bank is mostly eroded away and encloses the site NE-ENE and in small portions at SW, NW and N. A break (Wth 3.2m) in the bank with a slight causeway across the fosse at E marks the position of the original entrance. Situated at the base, near the S end, of a narrow steep N-S orientated valley in wet boggy pasture. Roughly circular spread (dims. 5m N-S; 6m E-W) of charcoal rich soil and fire shattered stone. A N-S orientated drain (Wth 1.5m; D 0.5m) crosses the spread to NW of centre. Charcoal rich soil and fire shattered stone is visible in the drain faces as a 0.2-0.3m thick band 0.2m immediately below the topsoil (T 0.15-0.25m).
