A now disused quarry hole has removed the scarp edge and part of the interior SSW-W. A NNE-SSW orientated drystone wall crosses the E side of the interior intersecting with the scarp at NE and at SE. The scarp has been mostly removed (ext. H 0.3m) to the E of the field wall. The original entrance is not recognisable. The footings of a small structure (SL005-127002-) is located the NE quadrant of the interior on to the W of the stone field wall. Compiled by: Patrick F. Situated on a slight S-facing slope, just below summit of hillock, at N base of Benbulbin Mountain in upland pasture. Oval-shaped hollow (dims. 5m E-W; 4.5m N-S; D 0.2m) enclosed by a row of moss-covered rubble limestone blocks (av. dims. 0.3m by 0.3m; H 0.2m). A break (Wth 0.6m) in the row of stones at NW with a rectangular upright jamb (0.25m by 0.25m; H 0.85m) on the SW side marks the position of the original entrance. A possible second jamb (0.25m by 0.25m; H 0.85m), now recumbent, lies at the edge of the interior at SE. Compiled by: Patrick F. Situated in a small hollow on a slight NW-facing slope, just below summit of hillock, at N base of Benbulbin Mountain in upland pasture. A hut site is located 130m to the SW. D-shaped structure (ext. dims. 2.1m NE-SW; 1.9m NW-SE; int. dims.1.3m NE-SW; 1.1m NW-SE) with walls (T 0.4m; ext. H 0.1-0.2m; int. H 0.1m-0.3m) of un-mortared rubble sandstone with the straight side (L 2.1m) facing NW. The roof is absent and the floor is level and unlined. Situated on an artificial level terrace, on a very steep WNW-facing slope at W base of Benbulbin Mountain, in upland pasture. Natural ground level falls away steeply from the edge of the site at NW. Oval-shaped mound (dims. top 2.75 NE-SW; 1.5m NW-SE; dims. base 3.85 NE-SW; 2.1m NW-SE; H 0.15-0.3m) with an external fosse (Wth 4.2m-6.3m; D 0.1m-1.2m). Situated on level ground in gently undulating, generally S-facing, pasture. Circular area (diam. 32m) defined by a drystone rubble limestone wall (Wth 1m; H 0.4-1.8m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The cashel is un-coursed with larger boulders at the base and is highest SSE-NW. A NNE-WSW orientated drystone field wall crosses the E side of the site intersecting with the edge of the site at NE and at SSE. The cashel wall is absent NE-SSE and the site is defined by a very slight scarp. The original entrance is not recognisable. There is a modern break (Wth 2m) in the cashel wall at NNE. Situated in level wet upland pasture at the S base of Benbulbin. Oval-shaped area (dims. 31m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by a collapsed rubble drystone field wall (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.1m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The facing, of un-coursed random rubble, survives best on the external side of the wall at SW and is very patchy and inconsistent elsewhere. The wall appears to have been entirely rebuilt as part of a field wall NNW-NE (Wth 1.2m; H 1.4). A roughly rectangular sheep pen (dims. 5m NE-SW; 2m NW-SE) extends into the interior at NW. Two other sheep pens have been built against the external face of the cashel wall at SSE. The original entrance is not recognisable. The SE quadrant of the interior is enclosed by a gently curving collapsed drystone wall (Wth 3.4m; H 0.4) that links to the interior of the cashel wall at ENE and at S. A collapsed drystone wall (Wth 3.1m; H 0.3) extends W from the internal side of the cashel wall at NE and ends to N of centre. Compiled by: Patrick F. There is no fosse visible at ground level. From W-NW the bank is absent and a NNE-WSW orientated farm track lies along the edge of the site. The bank is absent NE-E and the circuit is defined by a low board scarp. A drystone field wall lies along the line of the removed bank E-SE. Roughly circular flat-topped sod covered mound (diam. top 4m; diam base 16m; Ht 0.4m) of heat shattered stone and charcoal rich soil. A NNE-WSW orientated stream is located 8m to the E.
