On the W bank of the Owenmore River and immediately W of Collooney. A mill is indicated on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map on the W bank of the river and next to 'a fall' and on the opposite side of the river to a church (SL020-203001-). There is a substantial bleach mill complex still standing on or near this site. This is probably the mill which according to McGarry (1980, 38) was built in 1797 by a Mr Jackson and was later sold to Alexander Sim who built a flour and corn mill on the opposite bank of the river. Most of the flour and corn mill has been demolished though the remains of wheel-pits and arched head and tailraces are evident. Two mills, one each side of the river, are marked here on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, a third, in Bleachgreen, lies c. 200m to N and is set back from the river. Painted smooth-rendered walling to front elevation, uncoursed squared rubble limestone walling to other elevations. Square-headed window openings with moulded architraves to ground floor front elevation openings, plain stone surrounds to window openings in other elevations, stone sills with corbels to ground floor front elevation openings, painted two-over-two inward-opening timber casement windows to ground floor front elevation, two-over-two sash windows to first floor, four-over-four to second floor each with thick central mullion echoing meeting styles on ground floor casements. Painted timber panelled window shutters incorporating circular moulding motif at ground floor. Round-headed doorway to centre of main elevation, unpainted moulded render surround, stone plinth blocks, cobweb fanlight, painted timber moulded transom, painted timber door with five raised-and-fielded panels. Set in grounds bounded by high rubble stone wall, landscaped gardens to south, main house approached by long driveway from south, original rendered farmhouse c. 1700 located to north of main house, various outbuildings around yard including red and yellow brick hen house c. 1880, rendered stables and cow-shed c. 1836. - Camphill Woollen Mills, mill (tread), 1790–1810, Regional interest, registry number 32310005, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=SL®no=32310005. Detached multi-bay two-storey rendered former mill building, built c. 1800, now in use as a parochial hall. L-plan, flat-roofed single-storey extension to south c. 1960, single-storey lean-to shed to north. Hipped slate roof, clay ridge and hip tiles, cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted smooth-rendered walling over plinth to ground floor, smooth-rendered string course at first floor level with painted roughcast walling to first floor. Free standing single-bay single-storey boiler house to north-west, pitched corrugated-iron roof, painted brick walling on rubble stone plinth. Free-standing square tapering brick chimney to north-west, approximately eleven meters high, dressed stone corbelled cap.
