In a moated site (SL012-026001-). When inspected in 1993, several sod-covered hummocks and low banks were noted in the interior of the moated site. No clear pattern was discernible but some of these features may have been remnants of structures or internal divisions. When inspected in 2005 no trace of the features was evident. At a ringwork (SL012-097001-). Centrally located within the S half of the interior are the ruins of a small square building (4.5m NNW-SSE; 4.45m ENE-WSW; max. H 1.95m; wall T 0.8m) constructed of mortared limestone with some brick visible in the W wall. The N wall has been removed. This building is known locally as 'the pigeon house'. At a ringwork (SL012-097001-). According to local tradition, there is a stone-built souterrain in the ringwork. In pasture, located in a lowlying hollow, on the S border of a tract of wet, marshy ground. Low, subcircular earthen mound (10.5m N-S; 9.3m E-W; H 1m at W, 1.15m at E). Low, oval-shaped mound (5m E-W; 3m N-S; H 0.4m) composed of shattered sandstone fragments within a matrix of black soil. At the base of the mound is what appears to be a spread of levelled material.
