Situated on NE shore of small lake, at base of slight SW-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture. The SW half of the site extends out into the lake. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 25m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.2m). At the external foot of the bank is a fosse (Wth 4.4m; D 1m). The bank is best preserved NNE-E and at WNW. Elsewhere itis visible as a slight rise only. The internal face of the bank is revetted with blocks of rubble stone NNE-E giving a vertical inner profile. The fosse encloses the site NW-SE and is absent elsewhere where the external base of the bank falls directly into the lake water. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at NE with a causeway across the fosse marks the position of the original entrance. A NE-SW orientated drystone wall crosses the fosse to link to the external face of the bank at NNE. Compiled by: Patrick F. Situated on slight S-facing slope in gently undulating rocky upland pasture. Circular area (diam. 60m) enclosed by the footings of a drystone wall (Wth .95m; int. H 0.2m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The footings of the wall enclose the site on all sides but are best preserved NW-NE. Elsewhere only fragmentary are now visible. Where best preserved, the footings are made up of two parallel rows of slabs set on edge (0.8m apart) with a fill of small limestone rubble between. Elsewhere the footings can only be felt beneath the sod. An ENE-WSW orientated wire fence with a closely spaced row of coniferous trees crosses the interior to S of centre intersecting with the wall footings at SW and at SE. The original entrance is not recognisable. The remains of a souterrain (SL015-086002-) are located to W of centre in the interior, 10m within the footings of the cashel wall. Compiled by: Patrick F. Located 10m within the wall footings of Corwillick cashel (SL015-086001-) on the W side of the interior. A slightly curving portion of the passage (L 5m; Wth 1.35m; D 1.1m) extends in a N-S direction. The walls are lined with drystone random rubble walling and the original rounded end wall survives at the S end. The N end is blocked with earth and access to the remainder of the souterrain is impossible. Access to the passage is between gaps in the lintels which consist of long rectangular slabs of limestone (Av. L 1.5m; Wth 0.5m; T 0.2m) laid across the passage. At the S end, the passage is covered by a large roughly rectangular slab (L 1.8m; Wth 1.5m; T 0.25m). Compiled by: Patrick F. Situated on a level terrace on side of large hill, in deciduous forest. A steep S-facing E-W orientated slope breaks 10m to the S of the site. Raised circular area (diam. 26m) enclosed by a broad bank of rubble limestone (Wth 4.9m; int. H 0.3m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The bank has a regular profile and encloses the site on all sides. No facing is evident around the perimeter. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at S marks the position of the original entrance. The interior has been built up on the E side with rubble limestone to form a roughly rectangular platform (dims. 11m N-S; 10m E-W) defined by a stone scarp (H 0.2m) that links to the interior side of the cashel bank NE-SE. The remains of a souterrain (SL015-087002-) are located in the centre of the platform. Compiled by: Patrick F. In the garden of a modern house. A subrectangular boulder (L 0.9m; Wth 0.55m; T 0.3m) with two close-set circular hollows of unequal size in one broad flat surface. The two hollows are bowl-shaped, with sides grading seamlessly to a slightly concave base: larger hollow (diam. 0.29-0.30m; D 0.15m); small hollow (diam. 0.22-0.23m; D 0.1m). The interior surface of the hollows is smooth and even, contrasting with the natural rough surface of the boulder. The two hollows, set 3-4cm apart, occupy most of the available space on the relatively flat surface of the boulder. The bullaun stone is currently set upright on edge, with one broad surface (the original base) abutting a garden feature and the broad face with the two hollows facing outwards. According to the local information, the bullaun stone was found on the shoreline of Lough Gill c. 200m to S of its current location.
