Timoney (1984, 323, no. 9) describes this as follows: 'The total diameter of this ring-barrow, sited on a false crest is 20.30m. A flat topped mound, 8.50m in diameter and 30cm high, is enclosed by a fosse, 3m wide and 50cm deep, and a bank, 2.80m wide and 75cm high. There are stones in the make-up of the bank. A modern stone wall crosses the west side of the monument. Burenhult (1980:1, 97) lists this as Structure 64, Carrowmore, recte Graigue.' OS 6-inch map (1837) and may represent the last vestiges of a monument identified by Petrie (1837, Carrowmore 39; SL014-209062-). Situated on a slight N facing slope in flat to undulating pasture. Comprises a circular area (int. diam. 22m) enclosed by a bank (Wth 4m, H 0.30m). There may be the remains of an outer bank as well but it is too indistinct to be certain. There is no indication of a ditch. A gap in the S part of the inner bank may be an entrance (Wth 3.50m). In an aerial photograph (OS 1. 3310-1) the rath appears to be surrounded by field boundaries (SL020-052002-) but these are not visible on the ground.
