H 2.7m) of earth and stone with an external fosse (Wth 5.3m; D 0.75m). From NW-N and SE-S the bank is absent and the site defined by a scarped edge. The original entrance is not recognisable. The fosse is partially infilled by a trackway that skirts the edge of the site from NW-NE. The remains of a souterrain (SL011-044002-) are located in the SW quadrant of the interior. Situated on a slight W-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 26m) enclosed by a bank (int. H 0.4-0.9m; ext. H 1.6m) of earth and stone. There is no trace of a fosse at ground level. The original entrance to the site is via a break (Wth 3m) in the bank at NNW. The external face of the bank is revetted with large rubble boulders roughly laid forming a wall 1-1.2m high. The revetting is best preserved SW-NW. From N-NE a roughly E-W orientated relic field bank incorporates the external face of the bank. The NW quadrant of the interior is slightly raised above the rest of the interior. The internal raised area (11m N-S; 13m E-W) is defined by a scarped edge (Wth 1m; H 0.45m) on the S and E sides and by the bank of the rath on the W and N sides. There is a souterrain (SL011-045002-) in the rath. A break (Wth 4m) in the bank at NE possibly marks the position of the original entrance. A low spoil heap (diam. 8m; H 0.3m) lies immediately to the S of the quarry. There is no fosse visible at ground level. The bank is made up of an earth and stone core and is revetted on the inner and outer sides from NW-E, at SE and at NW, by limestone slabs laid on edge. A break (Wth 1.1m), also stone lined with limestone slabs, through the bank at NE marks the position of the original entrance. From NNW-N-NE the bank is incorporated into an E-W field boundary. A large irregular quarry hole (dims. 9m E-W; 13m N-S; D 0.6m) lies in the centre of the interior. A relic field bank (SL011-129002-), possible part of a field system, lies 6m to the W of the rath.
