Situated on a NW-facing slope in undulating pastureland. The SW portion is close to a steep drop in the slope. A large enclosure (diam. 42.7m N-S; 38.2m E-W) defined by a compact earthen bank (Wth 1.2m; int. H 0.86m; ext. H 1.2m), quite denuded at N and W. The interior is undulating and slopes to the NW with the natural incline. A conglomerate boulder sites roughly in the centre of the site. The bank has a sharp profile with stone protruding from the surface and there is a possible entrance gap (Wth 2m) in the S sector. No visible trace of an enclosing fosse. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Situated on a fairly steep NW-facing slope in undulating, hilly pastureland. The site appears as an oval enclosure on an aerial photograph taken in 1974 (GSIAP, S 543/3). Described (OPW files, 1965) as a 'sub-rectangular area bounded by very insignificant bank and fosse, not a ring-fort'. The site was bulldozed in 1978 (Stout 1984, 45). Not visible at ground level. Situated on a break in a gentle NW-facing slope in undulating hilly pastureland. A circular ringfort (diam. 30.7m N-S; 30.4m E-W) defined by a well-preserved bank of earth and stone (Wth 0.9-1.1m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.13m) with no fosse visible at ground level. There is no clearly defined entrance feature visible but a number of modern narrow gaps in bank give access to cattle. Located on a N-facing slope, in an upland area overlooking a plain to the N. A roughly circular site (diam. 28.6m N-S; 26.5m E-W) defined by a low denuded earthen bank with some stone visible (Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.43m; ext. H 0.56m) and a shallow external fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.42m). There are a number of gaps in the bank due to cattle trampling, however the causeway over the fosse in the NE quadrant may be the original entrance (Stout 1984, 45). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Located on a NW-facing slope off the crest of a hill, in undulating hilly terrain with a standing stone (66) c. 100m upslope to the W. A circular area (diam. 39.8m N-S; 42m E-W) defined by a low, very denuded earthen bank with some stone evident (Wth 1m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.76m) and a shallow external fosse (Wth 3.9m; D 0.35m). The fosse is not visible upslope in the SE quadrant. There is a possible entrance gap (Wth 1.9m) in NW sector. The site was reused as a tree-ring and there is a small coniferous plantation in the interior of the site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope, off the crest of a hill, in undulating hilly terrain. A ringfort (TN017-021) lies c.100m to the W. A stone, rectangular in plan (H 1.37m; dims. 0.9m x 0.5m) aligned N-S with the apex rising to the S. The E face has been split. A hollow area around the stone has been caused by cattle trampling. Grass tufts at base but no evidence of packing-stones. A small rounded sandstone boulder (dims. 0.24m x 0.15m) lies on the relatively flat surface of the standing stone. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
