On gradual N-facing slope in pasture. The church and 'churchyard' are mentioned in the Civil Survey of 1654-6 (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 18). The church is located in the S quadrant of a large, roughly oval enclosure (TS068-087001-), a portion of which, including the church, has been fenced off to form a smaller graveyard. This area is heavily overgrown with trees and scrub. The church (dims. 10.8m surviving E-W; 6.4m N-S) is composed largely of sandstone rubble, with some limestone, and is heavily ivy covered. Only the E gable (H above int. 1.8m), the return (L 0.9m) at the NE angle, the return (L 0.46m; T 0.92m; H above ext. 2.2m) at the SE angle and two short lengths of the S wall (L c. 2m and c. 0.8m) survive. The centre of the E gable, which would have contained a window, has completely collapsed. The church has not significantly altered since visited by the OS c. 1840, though the OS Letters do mention that the E window, of which only the S side then remained, had been pointed and that the quoins, which are now totally obscured, are of cut sandstone (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 3, 61). On gradual N-facing slope in pasture. The church and 'churchyard' are mentioned in the Civil Survey of 1654-6 (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 18). The graveyard consists of a large roughly oval enclosure (89m NE-SW; 63m WNW-ESE), the SE quadrant (25m N-S; 21m E-W) where the church (TS068-087----) is located, has been fenced off. This smaller portion now forms the recognised graveyard and the remainder of the large enclosure is a small field. The small area is fenced off with a low concrete wall with concrete posts and wire with a gate at the W end of W wall. The interior of this area is heavily overgrown with trees and scrub. The large enclosure is clearly indicated as the graveyard on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map and is defined by a substantial earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; H above ext. 1.8-2m) with external stone revettment which has collapsed in places. The ground level in the interior is uneven, with several low platforms which may be the result of former sub-divisions within the enclosure. There only appear to be a few headstones in the graveyard, of 18th and 19th century date. The graveyard is no longer in use.
