Situated in a river valley with a stream running E-W along the SW quadrant. A raised circular platform (diam. 30.5m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.43m) which has been mainly reduced to a scarp and a U-shaped, wet fosse (D 0.4m). The stream runs along the base of a steep scarp at SW. A suggestion of an outer bank and fosse at E/SE may be more apparent than real as the fosse seems to be a field drain which does not continue contiguous with the ringfort. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Situated on a NW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map but not shown on the 1904 ed. The site is not visible at ground level. A modern house has been built in the area but according to the landowner the house was built on the site of a limekiln/hollow. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Situated on a SW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a roughly circular area on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map with only the W half depicted on the latest ed. (1904). The site has been levelled but is visible as a very low, circular platform (diam. 33.5m N-S; 34m E-W; H 0.66m) with a concave interior. A cattle track transects the site from NE to SW. The site slopes gently to the exterior and a slight dip around the exterior may indicate a fosse. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Situated on a SW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map but not marked on the latest ed. (1904). Though levelled, the site is visible as a low circular rise (diam. 29.7m N-S; 31m E-W; H 1m), sloping slightly to the W. The edges slope very gradually to the exterior. An old line of field fence extends NW-SE along the outside edge of the SW quadrant. An external dip in the NW sector indicates a possible fosse. There are no visible remains of the house marked at this location on the latest ed. OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
