It is depicted as a irregular rectangular enclosure (diam. c. 66m N-S; c. 49m E-W) on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map and as a raised oval area on the 1907 ed. (diam. c. 46m N-S; c. 35m E-W). There is a natural rise in the field roughly where the monument stood. An enclosure encircling the summit of quite a steep, roughly circular hill, situated in an area of outcrop, in rough pasture. Most of the summit is covered in thicket. The enclosure is defined in the S quadrant by a low earthen scarp (H 0.4) for a length of 18m. There is no visible trace above ground of the E and W quadrants. On the N side there is a drop (D 0.75m) due to rock outcrop which forms a terrace (L 17m). The monument is indicated as circular enclosure (diam. c. 27m N-S; c. 37m E-W) on 1st (1840) and 2nd (1907) ed. OS 6-inch map. Hipped artificial slate roof, with pitched roof having eaves course to return, flat-roofed to east projection, and having yellow brick chimneystacks to centre of main roof and return roof. Rendered walls with rendered plinth. Square-headed window openings with limestone sills and timber sliding sash one-over-one pane windows. Two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows to return, barred to ground floor. Some replacement uPVC windows to return and to flat-roof projection. Segmental-headed door opening with timber doorcase having panelled sidelights, spoked overlight and timber panelled door, with step. Yard to rear has single-storey outbuildings one along roadside, flanked by gables of two others, with pitched slate and corrugated-iron roofs, rendered and rubble limestone walls, and square-headed openings with timber fittings.
