Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope in a corn field. A roughly circular area (diam. 33m NW-SE) enclosed by a bank (Wth 1.4m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.2m) and fosse (W c. 2.5m; D 0.3m) much obscured by dumped material. No entrance feature visible. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope in pasture. The site is heavily overgrown with scrub and a number of fallen trees around the bank; it was not possible to take diameters. The present remains consist of a circular area defined by a scarp (H 0.7m), a fosse (Wth 3.4m; D 0.6m), an outer bank (Wth 2.2m; ext. H 0.9m) and an outer fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.37m) only visible in the SW quadrant. At N cattle have reduced the scarp creating an entrance (Wth 1.2m). There is a small tree plantation in the area immediately NW of the site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Situated on the SW-facing slope of a gentle undulating rise, in pasture. Indicated on the 1952-3 ed. OS 6-inch map as a large, rougly circular enclosure which appears to have been bivallate. The site is completely levelled with a large silage pit and sheds now occupying the area. The sheds were built c. 10 years ago according to the local farmer. Site not visible at ground level.
